Opened in March 2016, our purpose-built facility offers a perfect blend of comfort and convenience, conveniently adjacent to the Marlborough Convention Centre. ASB Theatre Marlborough has four spaces available for hire:

McLauchlan Family Auditorium
Our flagship venue boasts a 700-seat purpose-built lyric theatre with impeccable acoustics. Ideal for live performances, conferences, or keynote addresses, its split-level seating and easy stage access ensure seamless productions.

Whitehaven Wine Room
This elegant space overlooks the Taylor River and is ideal for meetings, seminars, cocktail functions, dinners, and trade exhibitions. Its fully removable wall allows seamless integration with the main foyer, providing added flexibility for your event.

Whether part of a larger conference or a standalone event, our spacious foyer is perfect for exhibitions, award presentations, cocktail functions, dinners, and concerts.
We operate the Marlborough Events Centre on behalf of the Marlborough District Council. Conveniently situated adjacent to the ASB Theatre Marlborough, this highly versatile venue features movable walls that can be configured to create either a grand hall or three separate rooms. It can accommodate up to 400 guests in theater style, 250 guests in banquet style, or serve as an exhibition area for 40 trade stands.
The event centre can be set up as one Grand Hall and, with its acoustically designed movable walls, can be set up as three separate rooms.
